Who doesn’t know Gem Gossip and Danielle, if you’re a jewelry lover?
She’s been one of the most inspiring voices in the jewelry world for years - curating vintage treasures and discovering emerging independent designers for her Key Pendant Collaboration Project.

To me, it still feels a little surreal that I had the chance to connect with Danielle and bring to life this special Vanity Key Collaboration. Danielle, the founder of Gem Gossip, chose the key as her signature motif for collaboration because it holds deep personal meaning. Her first key was a gift from her grandparents from Italy, and the second was the one her father gave her mother on their first date. She later soldered all her collected keys onto a heavy rolo chain - a necklace that has come to symbolize her journey and unlock so many jewelry lovers’ dreams. 

The key, to me, is a piece that symbolizes the stories we hold, the memories we unlock, and the golden moments we keep close. Our collaboration was really fun - we even did a poll to ask the audience’s opinion, and everyone wanted the Vanity!
It was such a pure joy to join this collaboration!
We decided to add some engraving on the shaft - it turned out so cute.

Our first drop in August, featuring sapphire, topaz, and tourmaline, sold out within just two hours… oooh, we were both amazed! And now, by popular request, we’ve added seven more sapphire keys in 14K yellow gold for this November release.

Let’s explore how we designed this together - from sketch to wax to the final polished creation. (And yes… while I was writing this, we sold out again!)
